Engine power and wheel power are different measurements

A chassis dyno measures torque at the rollers and calculates power, while quoted factory figures usually refer to engine output under a defined standard. Drivetrain loss is not a universal percentage.

Tyres, pressure, transmission, fluid temperature, restraint and dyno configuration influence measured wheel output. Compare like with like rather than converting with one assumed loss figure.

Correction standards and environment

Air temperature, pressure and humidity change engine conditions. Correction methods attempt to normalize results, but different standards and dyno implementations can produce different corrected values.

Record the correction standard, environmental data and whether the graph is corrected or uncorrected. Heat soak and cooling airflow can also change successive runs.

Vehicle and fuel condition

Fuel quality, ignition correction, boost leaks, air filtration, exhaust restriction, tyre condition and adaptation can change output. A healthy vehicle is required for a meaningful baseline.

Use the same fuel, gear, dyno mode and stabilization procedure before and after calibration. A repeatable delta on the same equipment is usually more useful than comparing headline values from different dynos.

The vehicle database presents imported OEM, Stage 1 and Stage 2 projections to support planning and comparison. It does not promise a measured result for every vehicle.

Final calibration targets are confirmed after original-file identification and review of hardware, fuel and condition. Preserve both baseline and post-calibration evidence when a measured comparison is required.
