A dual-clutch transmission controls clutch pressure, engagement, torque handover, shift scheduling and thermal protection. TCU changes must match the exact gearbox, software, clutch condition and ECU torque model.

Torque reporting is shared information
The TCU uses engine torque information to manage clutch and shift events. Arbitrary torque-limit changes can create a mismatch between reported and delivered torque.
Shift quality is not one map
Pressure, fill time, clutch adaptation, torque reduction and shift scheduling interact. A faster command is not automatically a smoother or more durable shift.
Required evidence
Provide the original TCU read, ECU tune level, gearbox identification, hardware state, adaptations and complaint or target. Mechanical clutch wear must not be treated as a software problem.

Can TCU tuning repair worn clutches?+
No. Adaptation limits, slip or pressure symptoms require mechanical diagnosis. Calibration should not conceal wear.
