Engine and transmission coordination
The TCU can request engine torque intervention during shifts and relies on reported engine torque to control clutches. ECU and TCU changes therefore need a consistent torque model.
Calibration cannot repair wear
Slip, pressure faults, clutch wear and hydraulic problems require mechanical diagnosis before a software change is considered.
