Overrun sound calibration

Overrun sound strategies increase thermal and mechanical stress. Requests are reviewed against engine, turbocharger, catalyst, exhaust hardware and intended closed-course use.

WHAT THIS WORKFLOW PROVIDES

Controlled from identification to delivery.

Selectable intensity request
Hardware declaration
Thermal-risk warning
Track-use documentation
Compliance requirement

Closed-course or motorsport use only where noise and emissions rules permit.

Why the original file matters

ECU family alone is not enough to identify a safe calibration target. Hardware number, software number, update state, reading method and file integrity all matter. AllChip OS keeps the original read and automatic identity result beside the selected vehicle profile so a mismatch is visible before work begins.

What to send

Upload the unedited original read whenever possible. Add identification files, ECU labels, diagnostic codes, hardware changes, fuel grade and the customer’s technical target. Clear input creates a faster engineering decision and a more traceable result.

After delivery

The result remains attached to the operation with its timestamp, status, engineer note and revision history. If further validation is needed, the workshop can send logs or supporting files without losing the original context.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Before you submit.

Is this recommended for a standard catalyst?+

It can cause excessive exhaust temperature and component damage. Compatibility must be reviewed before any calibration.
