Loading and regeneration
Control systems can use differential pressure, temperature, airflow and operating models to estimate soot loading and determine regeneration conditions. Ash is not burned during normal regeneration and accumulates over service life.
Diagnose the cause
A DPF fault can originate in pressure hoses, temperature sensors, combustion, EGR, boost, injector condition, driving cycle or the filter. Required equipment must remain functional on public-road vehicles.
