Freeze-frame data, occurrence status, related codes, wiring, sensor plausibility and enabling conditions are required for diagnosis. Clearing or suppressing the code does not repair the cause.

Standardized powertrain codes coexist with OEM-enhanced codes and aliases. Always interpret the code in the correct vehicle and software context.
